Pleased to be on Adra
I am pleased to say we are now featured on www.adrahome.com this website works hard to promote top quality Welsh crafts and we are in great company.
First samples of our exclusive Welsh language cards.
One of my on going wishes is to have a range of funky and original cards in the Welsh language. As samples the wonderful Becky at Dots and Spots created these for me.
These lovely cards are created by tearing and cutting various papers and collaging them onto a printed background, a very unusual technique that I believe gives avery unusual result. Infact I am thinking of comissioning Becky to develop my business stationary.
Keep an eye on the website for these and more, including out Christmas range.
I am a terrible blogger!!
Blame the pregnancy hormones but I totally forgot I was doing this!
Life has been pretty quiet, lots of time searching the web for great new products for DBs, I now have 3-4 exciting things in the pipeline. I am excited to report www.adrahome.com are planning to add out range of Welsh language baby clothes to their website, they have beautiful Welsh crafts and designers and I am very happy to be joining them.
Yesterday at the Merionedd County Show
It was actually sunny yesterday and we decided to visit the show as it was only 2 miles away. If only we had heard about it sooner Dragon Babies would have been there with a lovely tent and some great show offers. Never mind it is in Bala next year AND WE WILL BE THERE!!
The anemia made it a bit difficult to do much so we sat on straw bales and watched the horses for an hour or 2. As Steph is about to leave home to study Equine Management in England she was in heaven, I on the other hand was happy just eating ice cream!
It’s Official
I am a page 3 girl!
Read the article here
It was a bit of a media frenzy after the article came out, 7 news agencies contacted me, trying to get me to do stories in such wonderful publications as Pick me Up and Take a Break. Had to tell them all I wasn’t interested but one lady that contacted me makes human interest documentaries and had great creds. I emailed her back saying I might be interested in helping with a surrogacy doc, but she wants to do it on my life. I explained that some of my past IPs wouldn’t want to contribute, you cant expect a 13 year old boy to be happy to have his unusual birth story all over the tv!
Anyway it has all died down now and I have decided if I do a big end of surrogacy article it will be in Closer magazine, as they have done us proud in the past.
Page 3 of The Daily Post tomorrow
Just to warn any locals to beware when you open your paper tomorrow. Following on from the BBC article I have been interviewed for The Daily Post. The guy sounded like a typical old Welshman who didn’t seem to “get” surrogacy at all so it will be interesting to see what he comes up with! Usually when I do media I get a readback to correct any factual mistakes but not today so who knows…..
Dot and Spots
Well I did it!
I have just recorded the interview for the BBC, unfortunately they couldn’t get hold of the person with the key for the local station so we ended up doing it over the phone at home! I must say it was probably more relaxed but I really wanted a photo of me with big headphones on infront of a dodgy sign saying BBC Radio Cymru. Very Smashy and Nicey!
The chap interviewing me was lovely but was so interested in surrogacy that we never got round to talking about Dragon Babies, which is fine as surrogacy is my second passion and I could talk about it for hours.
There is a link on their website tho, which is a bonus. Have a look and see what you think BBC Wales article
Welcome aboard Wyn
I have come to realise that trying to run a business based in a language I don’t speak is a bit tricky!
Luckily I was recently introduced to a lovely man called Wyn. Not only is he Welsh to the core, but father of 2 small children and a wizz at business. Thanks to his press release I am being featured on the BBC Wales website, both on the news page and as my story also involves surrogacy, on the health pages as well.
This has in turn lead to a request to do an interview for BBC Wales TV, which due to my shy and retiring nature I had to turn down. As a compromise I have agreed to do an interview on the radio tomorrow, couldn’t face doing it live so will be popping along to the local studio at 7am to pre-record a short interview to be broadcast at about 8.15am, prime listening time……YAY WYN
Izzy is going to be a big sister
After a lot of thought I decided to offer to be a surrogate again for Sharmy and John. We went through the same process as before at the Care clinic in Manchester.
Again we were amazingly lucky and the 1st transfer worked. My due date is October 6th and I am carrying another girl! This is her 3D scan pic at 24 weeks.
